About Kaizen
Kaizen Barber Collective encapsulates the independence of one, and the interdependence of many to bring about a more sustainable and self-empowering barbershop initiative. Kaizen is a collective of barbers coming together to calibrate their skills, educate each other, and spread positive influence to those in the chair. The Japanese principle Kaizen refers to incremental improvement that overtime proffers an exponentially compounded result. It gives space for the uniqueness of the path, and doesn't require a standardized experience. In this sense it gives creative freedom to cut, educate, or have a positive impact in a bespoke way, and share one’s experience with the collective. Kaizen embodies the panoptic initiative to iteratively push one’s boundaries to further the tonsorial craft for the benefit and value of those we groom and connect with.
